Don't Let Stress Wreck Your Workout Schedule
Amazing enough there are those of us who allow our stress or anxiety to affect our workout schedule, please don’t
let stress wreck your workout schedule. The fast pace chicago lifestyle is enough to stress anyone out. Basically,
it is very easy to get caught up in daily living and let the stresses of life affect our mind and body. Of course,
it’s true that by permitting the stress to overwhelm us it can lead us to feel angry, upset, or maybe even make us
feel depressed and there is a direct correlation between how the body reacts for us when we are under stress versus
when we are not. Allowing our stress to zap us of our motivation or energy shouldn’t ever happen, because even
minor changes in our eating, physical activity, and handling stress can have a huge difference in losing weight and
improving our overall health.

It’s safe to say that our stress will not just be wished away and will probably require some action on our part
to remove the stress or manage it. For the majority of us, spouses, kids, bills, work, chores, and just life
sometimes can be the most common causes of anxiety. Recognizing what the stress trigger is and addressing it is the
key to regulating our stress levels. Finding out how to identify when you are under stress, what is stressing you,
and the numerous ways of handling stress can significantly improve your physical, emotional, and mental health. We
are forced to go through a process so we don’t just focus on the stress but mentally organize an action plan with
steps to correct whatever is creating our stress and anxiety.
As an alternative to allowing whatever might be creating anxiety and stress for me to totally consume me so that
it’s the only thing on my mind, I use my workouts to relieve that stress and not as a reason to skip them. All of
our chicago personal training clients leave our workouts feeling totally refreshed and stress free. Studies have
noted that exercise can help in the reduction of stress by allowing your mind time to think about other things.
Many times, it is better to gain some distance from the stress and let a little time pass before addressing the
stress is what I’m getting at here so we don’t incorrectly manage it. Hence, incorrectly coping with stress can
lead to unhealthy eating, decrease in physical activity, and other mental or emotional changes that can affect our
health and ability to lose weight in the long run. Don’t let stress stop you from working out, use it as motivation
to workout.
